US President Donald Trump said today, Thursday, that he hopes to reach a trade agreement with Germany during his meeting with the new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House.
Trump added: "We will have a big trade deal... I think the European Union will mostly determine that, but you are a very big part of it."
He continued, saying: "We hope to end up with a trade agreement or we will do something, as you know, we will impose tariffs."
