The Syrian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdulsalam Haykal, announced the appointment of the child Salim Al-Turkmani, the founder of the Instagram account "little_tech_salim," as an official spokesperson for the ministry for his generation.
This came in a tweet posted by the minister on his official account on the X platform, where he congratulated Syrians on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, and emphasized that Salim's appointment was part of the ministry's team with the goal of building a country worthy of its children, securing their dreams, and enabling their abilities.

This decision sparked a wide reaction on social media, as Syrians expressed their hopes for a better future for their country after years of war and suffering.
The announcement comes weeks after a photo of Minister Abdulsalam Haykal at Damascus International Airport, standing in line to stamp his passport, circulated, which Syrians considered a rare scene indicating his humility and distance from the trappings of power exploitation.

It is worth noting that the appointment of Salim Al-Turkmani, known for his Instagram account specializing in technology, reflects the ministry's direction to integrate the new generation into the digital and social development process, encouraging Syrian children and youth to actively participate in building their country and developing their capabilities.

This announcement comes amid ongoing demands from Syrians since the formation of the new government to improve public services, and Minister Abdulsalam Haykal has drawn attention with his quick response and decisions, which many consider a positive step towards a better future for Syria and its people.
