The Druze religious leadership, under the leadership of Sheikh al-Aql "Hamoud Yahya al-Hanawi," congratulated the Syrian people on the United States' decision to lift economic sanctions on Syria, expressing hope that "this decision will mark the beginning of relief for the Syrians and alleviate the economic pressures that have burdened them across the nation."

The statement issued by the religious leadership stated that this international step "represents an important gateway to opening a new chapter in international relations with Syria, based on respecting national sovereignty, human rights, and citizen dignity," emphasizing the importance of utilizing this development to strengthen national unity and rebuild the Syrian economy, restoring "Syria to its well-being and status."

The religious leadership stressed that "Syria can only be built by the hands of its own people," calling for the promotion of values of tolerance, justice, and participation among all components of the Syrian people. They also urged the intensification of national efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability, affirming that "the interest of the nation is of utmost priority."
