An 11-year-old girl tragically lost her life on Thursday, March 27th, after falling under the wheels of a school bus in Adana, southern Turkey, pushed by her friend on their way back from school.

According to initial reports, the girl, named "Ghazal," was walking with her classmate when the latter playfully pushed her, causing her to fall in front of the passing bus, resulting in her immediate death.

Local media shared a poignant video showing the girl's father crying next to her body, while police and paramedics tried to console him.

The bus driver, carrying other students, was arrested, and witness statements were taken at the scene, with investigations ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The girl's body was transferred to the county hospital, while the fate of the friend responsible for the accident or the nationalities of the two girls have not been disclosed yet, according to preliminary data.
