The concert of the Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan, which took place last Thursday, July 31st, in Porto Marina area in the North Coast, witnessed a tragic incident resulting in the death of a young man and injuries to 6 others with varying degrees after fireworks fell on the audience.
The incident led to chaos and panic inside the concert venue, prompting Ramadan to cancel the event before its halfway point, urging the audience to leave the place calmly to avoid stampede.

According to eyewitnesses, the event started amidst enthusiastic atmosphere and a large crowd, but things spiraled out of control when fireworks were randomly ignited near the stage.
This led to a sudden explosion believed to be caused by a malfunction in a gas tube connected to the fireworks equipment.
Several attendees and a group of the concert's security personnel suffered varying burns, and one young man died due to exposure to the hot gas emitted from the explosion, while two cases are still under medical observation.

Mohamed Ramadan announced the concert's cancellation immediately after the explosion, calling for urgent medical assistance, confirming fatalities and injuries among the audience and staff.
Following the incident, he posted a statement on his official Facebook page, stating that what happened was not just a technical fault but a "fully-fledged assassination attempt", mentioning the impact of an explosion near him on his ear, and explaining that the explosion sounds were not similar to the usual fireworks noise.
This statement sparked widespread controversy on social media, with some considering it an unjustified exaggeration or an attempt to turn the incident into a criminal case, before Ramadan later deleted the post without providing an explanation.

According to security sources, investigations began immediately, and a number of concert organizers and eyewitnesses were interrogated, with the stage temporarily closed awaiting reports from civil defense and the organizing company.
No official statements have been issued yet by the Ministry of Interior or the Public Prosecution to confirm or deny criminal suspicion, and the concert organizers have not disclosed detailed information about the incident or their level of responsibility.

The concert was expected to be one of the highlights of the summer season, with intensive musical and visual rehearsals, but it turned into a disaster highlighting the lack of safety measures at large events, especially regarding the use of pyrotechnics in open spaces.
