Casualties and Injuries Following Bloody Clashes in Sweida Governorate

Ten people were killed and around 50 others were injured in clashes between Druze and Bedouin fighters in Sweida Governorate on Sunday, as a government source stated that the Ministry of Interior forces headed to the area to end the clashes.
The "Sweida 24" platform reported, citing medical sources, that "seven people were killed, including a child, and around 32 were injured as an initial toll due to the clashes" in Al-Maqous neighborhood in the east of the city, the first such incident in the area in about two months.
"Sweida 24" also explained that the confrontations led to the closure of the Damascus-Sweida international road.

It is worth mentioning that the clashes began following a robbery incident on the Damascus road targeting a city merchant according to "Sweida 24", and escalated to mutual kidnapping operations within the governorate before the situation evolved into armed confrontations and shelling.
