President Ahmed Al-Shar'a chaired a regular meeting of the Council of Ministers in the Syrian Arab Republic, where the ministers reviewed the latest developments and challenges faced by the government's performance in the past period. They discussed with him mechanisms to improve coordination and enhance cooperation between various ministries, serving the interests of citizens and contributing to accelerating the country's recovery, progress, and development. During the meeting, President Al-Shar'a emphasized the importance of institutional integration between ministries and working within well-thought-out plans that consider the needs of citizens, focusing on enhancing government performance and developing public services. He also highlighted the necessity of rectifying what was corrupted in the previous phase, especially in terms of the economic and financial structures, to create a stable and secure environment that supports investment opportunities and opens up new horizons for development. The President stressed the urgency of moving towards reconstruction by developing comprehensive strategic plans to organize cities and towns in a way that preserves the cultural and historical fabric, aligning with the requirements of the upcoming phase. These plans should be integrated and based on a long-term developmental vision. President Al-Shar'a called for adopting civil peace as a fundamental pillar in the government's work, in addition to following a unified national media discourse that enhances the spirit of belonging and national unity, serving to overcome divisions and direct energies towards constructive efforts. At the end of the meeting, President Al-Shar'a listened to the ministers' interventions and initial remarks after assuming their duties, directing them to prepare clear executive plans to be presented at the next meeting for evaluation and implementation, in line with the comprehensive national development process.
