In the context of an official visit made by the Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shar'a today, Sunday, in response to an invitation from the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a Kuwaiti-Syrian official talks session was held at Bayan Palace on Sunday, chaired by the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shar'a. This visit marks the first one conducted by President Al-Shar'a to a Gulf country since taking office. In response to the importance of the visit, the Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, stated that the talks session addressed the strong fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples, and ways to support and enhance them in all fields. Regarding the course of the session, according to the Kuwait News Agency "KUNA," both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries and expanding its frameworks to serve their common interests. They discussed the developments in Syria and emphasized enhancing international efforts to ensure Syria's security and stability, safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity. They also discussed key issues of mutual interest and ways to support the unified Arab action, as well as the latest developments on both regional and international fronts.
