Lame's remarks came during a visit to Islamabad, where his office emphasized the need for continued stability in the region. He also mentioned being in constant communication with the Indian government and looking forward to visiting New Delhi soon. In a statement, Lame said, "Given the deep and historical relations between our peoples and governments, we are determined to play our role in combating terrorism and ensuring the fragile ceasefire transforms into lasting peace."
