With escalating political tensions related to the conflict in Gaza and the West Bank, and as sensitivity towards speeches related to Israel increases in public spaces within Britain, the British police announced that they are considering launching a criminal investigation after artists participating in the Glastonbury music festival chanted anti-Israel slogans on one of the main stages during their performances yesterday.
The Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement on the X platform that they are "aware of the comments made by artists on the West Holts stage this afternoon".
They added that investigators will assess the available visual evidence to determine if there are any legal violations warranting an official investigation.
The Irish hip-hop group Kneecap and the British duo Bob Vylan had launched anti-Israel slogans during their Saturday performances.
A member of Bob Vylan shouted: "Death, death to the Israeli army", a scene that angered Israelis.
The Israeli Embassy in London expressed "deep concern over the inciteful and hateful speech" delivered on stage and called on the British authorities to take action.
