Blinken Asked to Leave Luxury Beach in Hampton After Violating Closure Orders

Former U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, was asked to leave the luxurious "Georgica" beach in East Hampton on Friday after violating the closure orders imposed due to the aftermath of Hurricane "Irene".
Photos taken by beachgoers showed Blinken, 63, quietly gathering his belongings—a towel, a bag, and a beach chair—barefoot, wearing a blue shirt and black shorts, before heading to the parking lot as the rough waves crashed behind him.
Authorities had closed the area's beaches earlier in the week due to the marine hazards left by the hurricane, which is considered one of the largest recorded hurricanes, with a width of about 500 miles and coming within 800 miles of New York's shores.
Authorities announced the reopening of most beaches on Saturday, while the ban on swimming remained in place at some locations due to strong currents. Meteorologists explained that the Atlantic Ocean is still in a state of turmoil, increasing the risk of rip currents.
It is worth noting that Blinken is a regular visitor to Hampton, as he has been accustomed to spending his vacations there, while his family has notable political roots, with his father having served as the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary during the Bill Clinton administration.
