Annual Inflation in the Sultanate of Oman Rises to 0.82% in June

The general index of consumer prices in the Sultanate of Oman recorded an increase of 0.82% in the month of June last year, compared to the same month of 2024 (base year 2018), according to data released by the National Center for Statistics and Information.
The data indicated that the group of personal goods and miscellaneous services topped the groups with the highest increases at 7.45%, followed by the transport group at 3.12%, then the restaurants and hotels group at 1.39%.
Meanwhile, the prices of the vegetables group decreased by 8.06%, followed by the fish and seafood group with a decrease of 3.84%, as well as a decrease in the prices of the fruits group by 0.45%, and the non-alcoholic beverages group recorded a decline of 0.19%, according to the Oman News Agency.
The data showed that the Interior Governorate recorded the highest inflation rate among the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman until the end of last month compared to the same period last year, with an inflation rate of 1.76%.
