Continuous Pain for Angham After Delicate Pancreas Surgery.. Doctors in Confusion

The well-known doctor and writer, Dr. Khaled Montaser, revealed the latest health updates for the artist Angham, explaining the details of her treatment journey that began with her suffering from acute pancreatitis.
Montaser stated in a detailed post on his Facebook page on Thursday evening: "Angham was initially admitted to the hospital with acute pancreatitis and high enzymes, and severe pain. After conducting the necessary imaging, it was found that there was a cyst on the pancreas, which could be either benign or cancerous." He added: "The imaging showed that the edges do not give a cancerous picture, according to the opinion of Egyptian doctors."
Montaser confirmed that Angham traveled to Germany for treatment at a specialized center, where the doctors decided to perform an endoscopic intervention and drain the fluid in the cyst through the stomach. Upon analyzing the fluid, "it turned out to be benign and not cancerous, but they thought that once the cyst was emptied, the pain would subside, which did not happen."
He continued: "What happened is that as soon as Angham started eating and drinking, the pain returned as before, which prompted the doctors to intervene again endoscopically, where they found that the cyst had turned into an abscess."
Dr. Khaled Montaser explained that after these developments, "the German doctors had to perform surgery using a robot," pointing out that "the problem is that the pain is still ongoing."
Montaser confirmed that the case represents a medical challenge, saying: "What has happened so far is one of the most difficult things a surgeon faces, as they are dealing with a symptom that has no direct explanation, which remains troubling even after removing the presumed cause that is thought to be the primary source." He concluded that "the German doctors are still confused, and the case is not cancerous up to this moment."
On another note, the media personality Mahmoud Saad commented on Wednesday regarding the circulating news about her condition, denying the rumors that the doctors were unable to perform surgery or that there was excessive danger in her health condition.
Saad explained that the current problem lies in "the secretion of a certain substance from the pancreas that hinders her complete recovery, as the 'drainage' failed to completely eliminate it, which necessitated the doctors to intervene to partially suction the fluid," confirming that this is "a standard medical procedure in such cases and not a new surgery."
Saad also denied the rumors about her being fed through tubes, saying: "Angham does not eat through tubes, she eats normally, but she does not eat as required since a person's ability to eat in hospitals and during illness and pain is weak." He added: "Food is not prohibited for her, but her ability to eat is weak, and she eats a small amount of food," pointing out that she has lost weight significantly.
Saad expected that "she will stay in the hospital for another week and not just a few days."
It is noteworthy that the artist Angham underwent a surgical endoscopy in Germany about two weeks ago, followed by the discovery of the necessity for another surgical intervention to remove what remains of the cyst, which was indeed done in the past few days.
