The residents of Al-Qusayr demonstrate in solidarity with the Syrian detainees in Roumieh prison.

Citizens in the city of Al-Qusayr in the western countryside of Homs near the Lebanese border took to the streets in a solidarity protest with Syrian detainees in Roumieh prison in Lebanon, who have been on a hunger strike for the 12th consecutive day. The protesters demanded the release of the detainees and their transfer to Syria for trial.
Yesterday, Friday, 21/02/2025, dozens of citizens, relatives of Syrian detainees in Lebanon, gathered and blocked a new road in Yabroud - Al-Masnaa on the Syrian side of the border with Lebanon, demanding the return of their sons.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 120 detainees continue their battle with empty stomachs to assert their right to be returned to their homeland and be tried there. The protesters also urge the Syrian and Lebanese governments to implement the agreement announced during the visit of former Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati to Damascus.
