Four years after the horrific crime .. Egypt executes the death sentence against "The Ismailia Butcher"

The Egyptian Prison Authority executed today the death sentence by hanging against Abdel Rahman Dabbour, known in the media as "The Ismailia Butcher," who committed one of the most heinous crimes that shook the Egyptian street in November 2021.

After a judicial journey that lasted nearly four years, justice has been served in a case that captivated public opinion due to the horrific details.

The incident dates back to November 1, 2021, when the accused attacked a furniture worker named Mohamed El-Sadek (51 years old) on Tanta Street in the city of Ismailia, and he slaughtered him and severed his head from his body in broad daylight in front of passersby, in a shocking scene that left the locals in a state of shock and terror.

Despite attempts by some citizens to stop him, he injured two others with severe wounds, before the locals managed to subdue him and hand him over to the police.

During the investigations, the accused confessed to committing the crime and claimed there were previous disputes with the victim, and investigations revealed his use of drugs and previous mental health treatment, but medical reports confirmed his mental soundness at the time of the crime.
