"Yedioth Ahronoth": "Israel hat nicht die Absicht, dauerhaft in der Pufferzone mit Syrien zu bleiben."

In light of the recent tensions in Syria, and the international demands for Israel to withdraw from Syrian territories to preserve the country's unity and sovereignty over its lands.

The newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" stated: "Israel has clarified to Turkey and Syria through intermediaries that it does not intend to stay permanently in the buffer zone."

The Hebrew newspaper added: "Israel does not intend to establish a defensive system in Syria if permanent security arrangements are reached, and Turkey may act as a guarantor."

It is worth mentioning that the southern regions of Syria are witnessing popular movements as a result of the recent statements by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he called for disarmament and for the new Syrian government not to intervene in southern Syria.
