Eine Ehrungsveranstaltung für Journalisten und Aktivisten der syrischen Revolution im Opernhaus von Damaskus.

In coordination with the Ministry of Information, the organizations "Banafsaj" and "Action For Humanity" held an event to honor distinguished journalists and activists who played an influential role in conveying the facts and reality throughout the years of the revolution.
The event, which took place at the Opera House, honored more than 800 journalists and activists, showcasing the experiences of several media personnel during media coverage, and the challenges they faced in conveying the truth about the crimes of the former regime. Documentary materials about these crimes were presented, shedding light on the role of journalists in conveying the various stages of the Syrian revolution until liberation and the fall of the Assad regime. Photos of journalists who were martyred while performing their media duties were also displayed.
In a speech delivered by the Director of Media Relations at the Ministry of Information, Ali Al-Rifai, he emphasized that the free Syrian media was not only a reporter of events, but also the conscience and weapon of the nation against tyranny. It engaged in the forefront from day one, committed to conveying the truth, free speech, and the voice of the people despite various attempts at distortion.
Al-Rifai stated: "The journalists of the revolution bore the responsibility of revealing the truth, documenting massacres, exposing war crimes, and conveying the suffering of Syrians to the global human conscience."
Al-Rifai emphasized the current ministry's support for press freedom and media personnel in conveying free speech, standing by them, protecting them, and enhancing the role of media in uncovering truths and countering misinformation campaigns.
The event was attended by the Ministers of Information, Interior, and Agriculture, the Governor of Damascus, the Qatari Ambassador in Damascus, the Head of the Women's Affairs Office in Syria, and many representatives of media and popular activities.
