The Internal Security Chief in Deir ez-Zor, Colonel Darar Al-Shamlan, confirmed today, Tuesday, that investigations into the murder of journalist Kindi Al-Adai began immediately after it occurred.
According to the Deir ez-Zor governorate, Al-Shamlan added: "A specialized team from the internal security is following the case seriously and professionally."
Al-Shamlan also urged the public to be patient and avoid making premature judgments to preserve the integrity of the investigation, emphasizing that all those involved will be held accountable without exception.
Al-Adai was found several days ago hanged in his home in the Al-Joura neighborhood with signs of torture on him.
It is worth noting that Al-Adai was one of the most prominent activists of the Syrian revolution since 2011.
