Syria wins bronze in the 100m hurdles at the West Asia Athletics Championships.

Syrian Army Club and national team athlete, Alaa Mohammed, won the bronze medal in the 100-meter hurdles race at the West Asia Athletics Championship currently held in Qatar, after a strong competitive performance against a group of top professional runners.
Sports sources described this year's competition as highly challenging, due to the high level displayed by the participants compared to previous editions of the championship.
The Syrian athlete received her medal from Colonel Osama Al-Sheikh Hamed, the director of physical preparation and sports and the head of the delegation, who praised her outstanding performance.
The Syrian Army Club participated in the championship with several of its players, where Alaa Mohammed competed in the 100-meter hurdles and 100-meter flat races, while Zainab Youssef represented the team in the 400-meter hurdles and 200-meter races, under the supervision of the national coach Hani Marhej.
In addition to the championship, Colonel Osama Al-Sheikh Hamed participated in the General Assembly and the Executive Bureau meetings of the Arab Military Sports Federation for the year 2025, held on the sidelines of the events in Doha.
