The WhatsApp development team is currently testing an innovative tool based on artificial intelligence to help users draft their messages faster and more accurately.

According to the latest beta version for iOS, a new button has appeared next to the GIF and Stickers sections, allowing users to open a space to write an initial idea or a short draft. The AI then analyzes the text and suggests a clearer and more coherent phrasing.

The feature gives users the freedom to choose between five styles for writing messages: formal, humorous, friendly, grammatically corrected, or rephrased using new synonyms.

App developers confirm that the tool will work locally on the user's device, maintaining the end-to-end encryption feature, so even Meta cannot access the content of the messages generated by this feature.

This feature is expected to be officially launched during upcoming updates this year, providing WhatsApp users with a smarter and more flexible writing experience.
