Tight Ambush Targeting a Major Drug Cell in Rural Damascus

He added: "After careful and continuous monitoring, we set up a tight ambush on one of the routes used by this network, which resulted in a clash between the security force and the cell members. As a result, the network members managed to escape, leaving behind the car they were traveling in. Upon searching the car, around 3 million narcotic Captagon pills were seized, in addition to 50 kilograms of hashish".
The Colonel confirmed that the necessary seizure procedures have been organized, legal actions have been taken against those involved, and efforts are ongoing to pursue the fugitives.
He concluded by saying: "In this context, the Drug Enforcement Administration emphasizes that it will not allow the Syrian Arab Republic's territories to be a passage or a sanctuary for drug smuggling and trafficking operations, and it continues its work with all its efforts to eradicate this menace that has plagued society in recent years under the defunct regime".
