In an exciting development within the walls of Real Madrid, media reports revealed a significant tension in the file of renewing the contract of the Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, after he demanded to receive the same salary as the Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, leading to a complete halt in negotiations.
Spanish radio station "Cadena Ser" mentioned that Vinicius, whose current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027, shocked the management of Los Blancos with huge financial demands, despite his performance not being at its best during the last season.
The radio station confirmed that the player had initially agreed to renew, before adding new conditions related to his salary, insisting on being the highest-paid in the team, on par with Mbappe.
On the other hand, Real Madrid is calmly considering the matter, and according to the report, the club does not rule out the option of selling Vinicius for a large sum if he continues to insist on his demands, especially as this could pave the way to fulfill President Florentino Perez's dream: seeing Erling Haaland alongside Mbappe in the royal team's attack.
In exclusive statements, sports journalist Kevin Campbell confirmed that the transfer market is not over yet, saying:
"Real Madrid is still looking for new deals, and the only player capable of solving the team's midfield problems is Rodri from Manchester City. As for Vinicius, he wants to be the highest earner in the team".
Reports added that Vinicius has a whole year to regain his form and justify his high financial demand.
If a new agreement is not reached, Real Madrid will not object to his departure in exchange for a large financial offer, which the club may use to achieve its big goals in the transfer market.
While Real Madrid fans await developments in this hot issue, all eyes remain on the club's management... Will they yield to the demands of the Brazilian star? Or will they open the door for his departure, in order to see a fiery attack uniting Mbappe and Haaland at the Santiago Bernabeu?
