"Unforgettable Era Comes to an End" .. Modric Bids Farewell to Real Madrid with Touching Words

The veteran Croatian star Luka Modric has concluded an unforgettable era as a player for Real Madrid, becoming the most successful player in the club's history with 28 titles.


Modric bid farewell to the fans with touching and affectionate words after 13 seasons defending the royal club's badge. The team legend spoke to Real Madrid's television station after the end of his illustrious career.

Modric said: "Conflicting emotions overwhelm me. An unforgettable, glorious era has come to an end. What I have experienced here brings me more happiness. Reflecting on everything I have achieved here makes me extremely happy even though it has ended."

He added: "At Real Madrid, I matured as a player and as a person. The club gave me everything as a footballer, and for that, I will be grateful all my life. I will always remain a fan and connected to the team."

The 39-year-old explained: "It has been a long but unforgettable journey. I have matured a lot as a player and as a person. I have another home besides my own because Madrid and Spain are like my second home. I am extremely happy and confident that over time, I will realize more of what I have achieved, as I will need some time to process all the emotions and everything I have accomplished here."
