A car dealership in the city of Azaz, north of Aleppo, was attacked by armed assailants on Wednesday, May 7, resulting in the death of two individuals and the injury of four others to varying degrees.

According to eyewitnesses, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle opened fire directly at the office near Al-Kif roundabout before fleeing the scene.

The injured were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the area witnessed an intense security alert.

No official statement has been issued regarding the incident so far, and the motives of the attack or whether it targeted specific individuals or is considered a regular crime have not been disclosed.

The General Security Administration has launched an urgent investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident and apprehend the perpetrators, with assurances of enhancing security measures in the area.

This incident comes amidst a security tension witnessed in neighboring areas, such as Jarabulus east of Aleppo, following an explosion of an explosive device near a camp gathering.

The General Security Administration had previously called on the residents of Azaz and nearby areas to immediately cooperate with security authorities and report any emergencies or suspicious situations.

In an official statement, it emphasized that the region's operations are fully prepared to receive reports via phone or messaging applications like WhatsApp and Telegram.

The administration stressed the "importance of community awareness and immediate reporting," expressing appreciation for the residents' cooperation in supporting security efforts aimed at enhancing stability and protecting the area.
