The Turkish Energy Minister Confirms His Country's Support for the Reconstruction of Syria Through Energy Projects

The Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, confirmed that his country is intensifying its efforts to support the return to normal life in Syria through strategic energy projects that include rehabilitating infrastructure and supplying natural gas.
This came during a television interview in which he mentioned the "start of the Azerbaijani gas transmission line to Syria via Turkish territory," explaining that "the daily flow will reach 3.4 million cubic meters in the first phase, with the possibility of increasing it to 6 million cubic meters later," thanks to the design capacity of the line.
The Turkish minister clarified that establishing energy infrastructure in Syria is a critical factor for enabling the population to resume their daily lives, revealing that "a Turkish technical team has been sent to Syria to work on rehabilitating the energy sector through short, medium, and long-term plans."
It is noteworthy that the process of pumping natural gas from Azerbaijan to Syria via Turkey officially began last Saturday, with the participation of representatives from the four concerned countries, and funded by the State of Qatar, as part of efforts to support the Syrian energy sector and improve electricity services.
This project is part of regional efforts for Syria's recovery, where Azerbaijani resources, Turkish transport, and Qatari funding come together to stabilize the affected areas.
