Turkish Defense Demands Israel Not to Drag the Region into Chaos

The Turkish Ministry of Defense has affirmed that the recent Israeli attacks on Syria aim to undermine peace and stability in the region.

Anadolu Agency quoted the ministry's spokesman, Navy Colonel Zeki Akar, as saying in a press statement today: "The airstrikes carried out by Israel on Damascus following its attacks in southern Syria constitute a clear provocation targeting the hopes for peace and stability in the region."

Akar explained that "Israel has dragged the region into a state of instability and chaos," demanding it to immediately cease its aggressive attempts that may have consequences whose repercussions cannot be avoided in the region.
