Trump Threatens to Impose Additional Tariffs on Countries Aligned with BRICS

In a new escalation of trade tensions, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will impose an additional 10% tariff on countries aligned with what he described as "anti-American policies" issued by the BRICS group.
The announcement came through a post on the "Truth Social" platform, where Trump wrote: "Any country that aligns with anti-United States policies of the BRICS group will face an additional 10% tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Thank you for your attention to this matter!".
Trump did not clarify the nature of these "anti-policies" or the criteria that will determine the countries subject to the tariffs.
It is worth mentioning that the BRICS group, established in 2009, includes core members Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, before expanding last year to include new countries such as Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
