Tommy Beugott, Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry, confirmed that his country is seeking "to see peace and prosperity" in the Middle East, noting that this goal is one of the milestones of President Donald Trump's visit to the region.

This came during a press conference published on the official website of the US Department of State.

Regarding the decision to lift sanctions on Syria, Beugott explained: "Regarding the interim Syrian administration, we have been in touch with them regarding measures related to achieving peace and prosperity."

The Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of State also added that "the US President spoke about his desire to see the entire region prosper," reflecting the American orientation towards supporting economic and political stability in the Middle East.
