United Nations: Working to Provide Aid in Response to the Situation in Sweida
The United Nations Resident Coordinator's Office and the Coordinator of Affairs in Syria stated on their official Facebook page today, Tuesday, that the United Nations is actively working with its partners to provide aid in response to the situation in Sweida through the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and in full coordination with the Syrian authorities.

The office added: "A new shipment of aid has been delivered to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, which includes essential supplies".

The United Nations has sent vehicles to transport United Nations staff and their families affected by the events to safer locations. This transportation operation aims to put United Nations teams in a better position to enable them to resume their work and continue responding to the needs of the affected population.

Sweida province, through Telegram, mentioned that a UN convoy is waiting for the arrival of displaced people from Bedouin tribes and the Christian sect in Sweida, in preparation for their transfer to safer areas and providing the necessary humanitarian support.
