The Syrian national football team started its training camp yesterday evening, Tuesday, June 3, in Saudi Arabia, in preparation for the match against Afghanistan scheduled for the 10th of this month in the Asian Cup qualifiers, under the leadership of the Spanish coach Jose Lana.

The initial training sessions focused on enhancing physical fitness, restoring harmony among the players, as well as tactical exercises, according to the plan prepared by the coaching staff to ensure the best preparation for the team before the match.

Team sources confirmed that the training will continue daily until the match, with a strong focus on technical and physical readiness, aiming to achieve a victory that strengthens Syria's position in the Group 5 qualifiers and gives it a strong push towards the continental championship.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, next Tuesday at 8:00 PM Damascus time. This match comes after the Syrian national team secured a victory in its first match against Pakistan with a score of two goals to none.
