The Syrian Ministry of Oil announces a tender to purchase 7 million barrels of crude oil.

The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources in the Syrian caretaker government announced on Wednesday, March 26, a tender to purchase 7 million barrels of light crude oil, as part of its efforts to secure the local market's fuel needs.
This comes amidst an ongoing crisis in providing oil derivatives, impacting vital sectors such as electricity, transportation, and essential services, exacerbating citizens' suffering due to frequent power outages and rising living costs.
Syria previously relied on Iranian oil supplies to operate power generation stations, but these shipments ceased after the fall of the previous regime last December.
