The Syrian Minister of Culture Discusses Cooperation with the Italian Organization "COSV" in the Field of Cultural Heritage Protection

The Syrian Minister of Culture, Mohammad Yasin Al-Saleh, discussed today, Sunday, with the head of the Italian organization "COSV", Paolo Comoglio, ways to cooperate in the field of cultural heritage protection.
During a meeting attended by the Italian ambassador in Damascus, Stefano Ravagnan, representatives of government institutions, local community organizations, and stakeholders in the cultural heritage sector in Syria, challenges and opportunities related to preserving Syrian cultural heritage were addressed, especially in light of the current phase in Syria that necessitates activating the cultural dimension in recovery projects and utilizing heritage as a resource for community and economic development.
Proposals were also presented to develop joint initiatives aimed at preserving Syrian cultural heritage and enhancing the role of local communities in its protection.
It is worth noting that "COSV" is an Italian non-governmental organization working in the field of international cooperation, focusing its activities on the environment, human rights, intercultural dialogue, arts, and economic development.
