The Governor of the Syrian Central Bank, Dr. Abdul Qadir Al-Hosari, announced today, Tuesday, the cancellation of all restrictions imposed on the transfer of money between provinces, including the decision that required citizens and companies to submit prior requests for money transfers.
Dr. Al-Hosari wrote on his Facebook page that the aim of this measure is to facilitate the movement of liquidity between provinces, noting that it is now possible to transfer money within Syria freely, without the need to submit a request or obtain prior approval.
Al-Hosari explained that this decision comes as part of supporting economic activity and facilitating commercial and banking transactions, while emphasizing that regulatory authorities will continue to monitor any suspicious or illegal activities.
He also urged everyone to adhere to transparency in financial transactions and to use official and secure channels.
