The Syrian Academy for Training and Consultations is expanding its activities after opening its headquarters in Damascus.

The Syrian Academy for Training and Consultations continued its training journey after opening its headquarters in the capital, Damascus, following its establishment in Idlib in 2021. The academy aims to equip professional cadres in various fields and enhance the job market with trained competencies.
The academy relies on specialized training staff in media, film industry, management, technology, computer science, research and statistics, and languages to provide high-quality training for beginners and professionals seeking to enhance their skills, in addition to offering consultancy services to institutions and individuals.
Leading Training Center in Liberated Areas
According to statements by Abada Al-Maqdad, the Public Relations Manager at the academy, to "SANA" agency, the academy previously made the Faculty of Political Science and Media at Idlib University its main headquarters, along with another branch in Sarmada. It worked on providing systematic training programs aimed at community development, enhancing the capabilities of individuals and institutions through strategic planning, performance measurement, and economic feasibility studies within an advanced technological environment.
Al-Maqdad added that the academy has signed memoranda of understanding with public and private institutions to secure job opportunities for trainees after their qualification, emphasizing its efforts to build partnerships that support institutions with qualified competencies to solve administrative and media problems.
Accredited Certificates and Rigorous Exams
Al-Maqdad emphasized that the academy attaches great importance to the credibility of its certificates, which are only awarded after passing standardized (theoretical and practical) exams that assess performance quality and academic achievement, focusing on professional and scientific integrity.
Expansion Post-Liberation and Integration of Specialized Institutes
After the liberation of Damascus, the academy opened a new headquarters in the capital and integrated the Technical Institute for Printing and Publishing and the Media Preparation Institute under the Ministry of Information into its structure. It began qualifying the ministry's cadres in preparation for expanding towards all government institutions with shared expertise.
Al-Maqdad also announced the academy's plan to open new branches in various provinces and collaborate with experts to develop the media movement and transfer experiences to the new generations, especially given the urgent need for professional journalism that reflects reality objectively and transparently.
Specialized Courses in Economic Journalism
As part of its modern programs, the academy, in collaboration with the American "Akerisi Press Institute," supported by the Ministry of Finance, Central Bank of Syria, Damascus Securities Exchange, Securities and Financial Markets Authority, and the Syrian Union of Insurance Companies, organized a training course titled "Introduction to Economic Journalism."
Dr. Kamal Al-Sheikh Ali, the trainer in the course, explained that the program aims to connect journalists with economic information sources, with 30% based on the theoretical aspect and 70% on the practical side to enhance field experience.
Al-Sheikh Ali emphasized the importance of continuous training for journalists to develop analytical capabilities and link economic issues to the living reality, contributing to producing accurate and impactful media content.
