The Supreme Council for Technical Education approved in its first meeting today, Sunday, after its restructuring, the inclusion of the institutes in Northwest Syria into the national system to be under its supervision.
The council, during its meeting chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi at the ministry's headquarters in Damascus, approved a standardized exam for students of health and medical institutes to join the corresponding university faculties, starting from the academic year 2025–2026, in preparation for generalizing the experience to other specializations.
During the meeting, a number of proposals were discussed to improve the reality of technical education and enhance its presence, in line with the labor market and community needs.
