Druze Spiritual Leadership: "We Stand with the Law and State Sovereignty"

The spiritual leadership of the Druze Unitarian Muslims said today, Monday, "From the beginning, we requested a ceasefire and calm and we do not want bloodshed."

The statement added: "We do not accept any extremist, deviant, or lawless factions," and continued: "We stand with the law and state sovereignty, and from the beginning, we did not object to organizing the province, establishing its foundations, and its police force from its sons and honorable people."

Also stated in the statement: "We are for peace and peaceful understanding, and we are confident that the government in Damascus agrees with us," and continued: "Our relationship with the government has not been severed, and our consensus relationship with them will not be severed."

The statement called for an immediate ceasefire, "and the hands of peace are still extended."
