The ship 'Haninah,' belonging to the pro-Palestinian Freedom Flotilla, arrived at the port of Ashdod in Israel today, Sunday, after being intercepted by the Israeli army.
The ship was on its way to Gaza in an attempt to break the maritime blockade imposed by Israel and to deliver a quantity of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians before being intercepted and the crew detained.
The crew included two deputies from the 'Brave France' party, opposed to immigration policies in France.
Meanwhile, the 'Adalah' Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel sent lawyers to the port located in southern Israel and demanded permission to communicate with the activists detained on board the ship, according to Agence France-Presse.
The occupation army stormed the ship Haninah late Saturday, heading to Gaza, aiming to break the blockade imposed by the occupation on the sector.
