With Syria's participation, the seventh Arab Water Week kicked off today, Monday, in Jordan, under the theme "Towards Efficiency and Sustainability in Utilities through Water, Energy, Environment, and Food Interlinkages," to discuss challenges in the water sector and the importance of integrating resources to achieve water security. In his speech at the conference, the head of the Syrian delegation, Assistant Minister of Energy for Water Affairs, Engineer Osama Abu Zeid, emphasized the importance of resource integration in the face of climate change, expressing Syria's aspiration to enhance technical cooperation with participating countries. The delegation, which also included the Assistant Minister of Energy's Water Affairs Advisor, Engineer Taher Al-Omar, participated in the opening sessions and technical events, exchanging ideas and experiences on regional and local challenges. The conference is organized by the Arab Water Utilities Association "AQUA," in cooperation with the Jordanian Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the Arab Ministerial Water Council, and the League of Arab States, at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center.
