The President of the Turkish Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges, Refat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stated today, Tuesday, that rapid economic recovery in Syria is important for enhancing security and stability in the country, expressing Turkey's readiness to build and develop the Syrian chambers of commerce system.
According to the Turkish Anadolu Agency, Hisarcıklıoğlu mentioned during his speech at the "Turkish-Syrian Round Table Meeting" in Ankara that Turkish companies are eager to work in Syria, noting that the most difficult period the country has gone through has passed, and stability is beginning to prevail once again.
Hisarcıklıoğlu also emphasized the importance of establishing infrastructure for investment and business, ensuring security, and benefiting from the Turkish experience, describing the conditions for mutual trade and investment between Syria and Turkey as "constantly improving," adding that the Turkish business community fully supports the approach that prioritizes the unity of Syrian territories.
According to the SANA agency, discussions between the Syrian economic delegation headed by Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar, and Turkish Minister of Trade Omar Polat, focused today in the Turkish capital Ankara on ways and mechanisms to establish a roadmap for strategic economic and trade cooperation, positively reflecting on the economic reality in both countries, and more than 10 agreements were signed between institutions in both countries.
