The Muslim World League welcomes the European Union's decision to lift sanctions on Syria.

The Muslim World League welcomed the European Union's decision to lift all economic sanctions imposed on the Syrian Arab Republic, considering it a positive step that supports the country's journey towards stability and development.
This was stated in an official statement released by the League's General Secretariat, where the Secretary-General and President of the Muslim Scholars Board, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, emphasized the importance of this decision in enhancing the hopes of the Syrian people and enabling them to build a promising future.
Al-Issa praised the international efforts supporting Syria, particularly highlighting "the noble efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" in this context, which culminated in the historic decision by U.S. President Donald Trump to lift American sanctions on Syria, announced from the capital Riyadh.
He affirmed that the EU decision is an extension of the U.S. decision, considering it a balanced and impactful step that contributes to supporting the Syrian economy and enhancing regional stability.
