In a special celebratory evening held at the Damascus Opera House, the Ministry of Information honored the winning works of the "Syria in Our Eyes" initiative last night, Monday evening, at an event organized by the Public Authority for Radio and Television Production in collaboration with "Trend Art Production" company, in the presence of a distinguished group of official, artistic, media, and diplomatic figures. The event included poetry and artistic performances, notably featuring poet Anas Aldaghim, along with artistic presentations and honoring a number of prominent Syrian figures who have made significant contributions in the fields of art, media, culture, and humanitarian work, including director Haitham Haki, researcher Abdul Rahman Al-Haj, Firas Mansour, media personality Hadi Al-Abdullah, and poet Anas Aldaghim. In his address to the audience, Minister of Information Dr. Hamza Mustafa emphasized that supporting youth initiatives is a top priority for the ministry, as part of a future vision for a free and responsible media that is a true partner in building the new Syria, with a focus on humanity and culture at the heart of the national process. He mentioned that the ministry plans to enhance drama and cinema production in partnership with the private sector and interested parties, with the ambition to restore Damascus to its position as a capital of art and drama in the Arab world, and an attractive destination for investment in artistic production. He explained that the ministry will support this direction through quality legislation and facilitations to ensure a stimulating work environment for creators and investors. On his part, Dalama Ali, Director of Public Relations at the Public Authority for Radio and Television Production, described the event as the "first cultural cry in the dawn of the new Syria," affirming that art and drama have become a choice for the state, and that culture has become a tool for construction and a horizon of hope. He also revealed a series of artistic and cultural projects that will be announced soon, including the "Cinema of Freedom" festival, the "Syrian Dubbing" festival, and the "Syrian Drama" festival. In her speech, Rana Al-Halak, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of "Trend Art Production" company, expressed her pride in this initiative, confirming that its ultimate goal is to empower youth and present them to society in a bright manner befitting their capabilities and dreams, urging them to be active in building the future. It is worth noting that the "Syria in Our Eyes" initiative was launched last April, aiming to discover young talents in the fields of photography, video production, and visual arts, and to nurture and present them to society through works that showcase the beauty of Syria and its cultural identity, reflecting the resilience of its people and their ability to overcome challenges and build a better life.
