As part of supporting youth initiatives and enhancing cooperation between the government and civil sectors, Dr. Yarob Badr, Minister of Transport, received a delegation from the International Youth Chamber (Syria) led by Mr. Karam Mustafa, the representative of the Chamber's national president, at the ministry building in Damascus.
The two parties discussed during the meeting the prospects of mutual cooperation and ways to develop entrepreneurial projects in the transportation sector, opening the door for youth participation in this vital sector, providing new job opportunities that contribute to social innovation and sustainable development.
Mr. Karam Mustafa, who headed the delegation, presented the programs of the International Youth Chamber in Syria, emphasizing the Chamber's keenness to build effective partnerships with ministries and government institutions, reflecting positively on Syrian society and contributing to the development of transportation infrastructure through initiatives led by proactive youth who believe in their ability to bring about change.
Dr. Yarob Badr expressed the ministry's readiness to cooperate with various entities and youth associations, emphasizing the importance of collaborative work to promote a culture of volunteering and enhance youth participation in transportation projects, which are a fundamental pillar for economic and social development in Syria.
The International Youth Chamber, which includes more than 200,000 active members in over 100 countries worldwide, aims to empower youth to develop their leadership and professional skills through work in four main areas: individual, social, economic, and global.
Several Chamber leaders participated in the meeting, including the Chair of the Board of Directors, Alaa Souqia, the Secretary, and the Director of Public Relations, emphasizing the importance of institutional partnership to support youth initiatives and stimulate Syrian energies towards building a better future.
