Minister of Agriculture of Syria, Dr. Amjad Badr, met today, Monday, with the Executive Director of the "Midad" Relief and Development Foundation, Dr. Tarek Hamdan, and his accompanying team, to discuss ways to support sustainable development in the affected Syrian communities and to coordinate efforts with civil society organizations. During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the role and work of the foundation in providing humanitarian aid and enhancing resilience in the previous stage, pointing out the challenges facing the agricultural sector. He stressed the necessity of building an integrated strategic partnership to achieve food security, empower vulnerable communities, and achieve sustainable and effective agricultural development. "Midad" Foundation is a Canadian non-governmental and non-profit organization in the fields of relief, development, education, and psychosocial support, focusing on empowering farmers to cultivate their lands with high-yield crops, providing all necessary services, agricultural advisory support, and training courses for farmers.
