Today, Thursday, June 26, marked the start of the twenty-third edition of the International AgriTEX Exhibition for Agricultural and Veterinary Supplies in Damascus International Fairground, continuing until June 29, 2025.

The event is organized by Atassi Company for Exhibition Organization in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, the Agricultural Chambers Union, and the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate, with the participation of 142 local, Arab, and international companies.

This year, the exhibition presents the latest solutions in veterinary medicines, animal feed, vaccines, seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, and modern irrigation systems, along with advanced agricultural technologies, making it an important platform for exchanging experiences and showcasing innovations.

Ghazi Atassi, the director of Atassi Company, emphasized that "the exhibition witnesses a remarkable presence of leading Syrian companies in both agricultural and veterinary fields, in addition to the participation of companies from Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon", noting that the official opening ceremony will take place on Friday afternoon.

On the other hand, Dr. Saeed Ibrahim, the Director of Agricultural Economics and Planning at the Ministry of Agriculture, stated that "AgriTEX Exhibition serves as a strategic platform reflecting Syria's keenness on developing its agricultural sector, which plays a pivotal role in enhancing the national economy and achieving food security".

Ibrahim added that "the exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the latest technologies in agriculture and animal production, such as advanced irrigation systems, improved seeds, and smart techniques for managing animal wealth, which contribute to increasing production efficiency, improving quality, and reducing losses, positively impacting farmers' income and quality of life".

He also pointed out that such events contribute to attracting foreign investments and enhancing regional and international cooperation, especially in light of the current economic challenges, providing opportunities for signing agreements and partnerships that support the modernization of the agricultural sector and increase its contribution to the Syrian economy.
