The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported today, Sunday, that the Israeli army has replaced the 7th Brigade and Brigade 188 with soldiers from the reserve forces, in a move aimed at giving the regular forces a break before resuming military operations in the city of Gaza.
According to official statements, the regular forces will undergo intensive military training in the coming period, in preparation for what Israel described as the "battle for the occupation of the city of Gaza," amid the ongoing military escalation in the sector.
The 7th Brigade and Brigade 188 are among the most prominent armored formations in the Israeli army, and they have participated in combat operations over the past months, prompting military leadership to rotate forces and intensify combat readiness through reserve units.
