In a rare joint operation, the International Coalition, in cooperation with the Syrian Ministries of Defense and Interior, carried out an airborne landing and raid in the city of Al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, resulting in the killing of four wanted individuals and the arrest of a prominent Iraqi leader in the Islamic State organization "ISIS" along with several of his associates.

According to exclusive sources reported by Syrian television, "Operation forces closed the streets surrounding the landing site, while reconnaissance aircraft heavily patrolled the area's skies." The participating forces also made announcements through loudspeakers calling on the wanted individuals to surrender before launching the final raid operation and successfully arresting the targeted leader.

Activists on social media circulated a video showing a military convoy affiliated with the Syrian Ministries of Interior and Defense during the operation that took place early Friday morning.

This operation is among the most prominent military operations carried out by the Coalition in the region in months, as part of the ongoing pursuit of leaders and members of "ISIS" scattered in northern Syria, especially with the recent escalation of the organization's activities in rural and desert areas.

So far, no official statement has been issued disclosing the identity of the detained Iraqi leader or details about his place of detention and the role he played within the terrorist organization.
