The Internal Security Forces Arrest the Killer of Artist Diala Salhi Al-Wadi

The Syrian News Channel reported that the Criminal Investigation Branch was able, in less than 24 hours, to uncover the circumstances of the murder of artist Diala Salhi Al-Wadi, which occurred in the Al-Malki neighborhood of the capital, Damascus, inside the victim's home.

The head of the internal security forces in Damascus Governorate, Brigadier General Osama Muhammad Khair Atika, stated that as soon as the report was received, patrols and specialized teams moved to the scene of the incident, where they began collecting evidence, reviewing surveillance cameras, and cross-referencing information.


Atika added that initial investigations indicated that the victim had employed a cleaning worker, who later confessed to coordinating with another person to kill the victim for the purpose of theft.

He also revealed that those involved in the crime have been arrested, while investigations are still ongoing to fully understand the circumstances of the crime in preparation for referring them to the competent judiciary to complete the legal procedures.
