The Al-Joulan National Hospital witnessed a field visit by representatives from the World Health Organization, where the delegation inspected the emergency department that was rehabilitated and renovated thanks to the efforts of a donor organization. The visit aims to assess the needs of the department before its opening, in addition to the general operations department, as announced by the hospital's medical director, Dr. Mohammed Nawaf Kanaan.
Kanaan explained that this visit comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, and to coordinate efforts with the Quneitra Health Directorate. He emphasized that the main goal of the visit is to study the actual needs of some vital departments in the hospital, and explore ways to support them to ensure the development of their medical services in line with international standards.
The medical staff at the hospital provided a comprehensive explanation during the visit about the challenges they face in providing healthcare services, including a shortage of basic medical supplies and infrastructure that need improvement. A set of practical proposals were also presented to enhance the hospital's capabilities and better meet the patients' needs.
As part of this visit, the importance of a rapid and effective response to the hospital's needs was emphasized, especially in the current health conditions that require the provision of effective and continuous medical care. The significance of enhancing the efficiency of the medical staff and providing them with necessary training to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services was also discussed.
This step comes at a time when there is an increasing need to improve healthcare services in the region, reflecting the commitment of the government and the international community to strengthen the healthcare system and meet the citizens' needs. It is expected that these joint efforts between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization will contribute to improving the level of medical services provided at the Al-Joulan National Hospital, positively impacting the health of the population and the quality of life of the residents in the area.
The World Health Organization continues to support health initiatives in various regions, and considers this visit as part of its efforts to enhance cooperation with local health institutions and meet urgent needs in the healthcare field.
