The German envoy to Syria welcomes the lifting of American sanctions.

German envoy to Syria, Steffen Seibert, welcomed the decision to lift the US sanctions imposed on Syria, considering it a positive step to support the Syrian people in rebuilding their country and moving towards a free democratic future.

Seibert's statement came through the "X" platform, where he stated: "Since the fall of the Assad regime, we have been working towards lifting sanctions for the benefit of all Syrians, and significant sanctions were lifted in the financial, transportation, and energy sectors last February."

The German envoy also mentioned continuing cooperation with the Syrian government to improve the business environment and attract foreign investments, adding: "We will continue working with the Syrian government to enhance the business climate and attract investments, aiming for economic recovery."
