The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will kick off in America with the participation of 32 teams.

The United States of America is witnessing the launch of the first edition of the Club World Cup under the new format on the 15th of this month. The tournament is being held for the first time with the participation of 32 teams from the best clubs worldwide, to be repeated every four years in the year preceding the Men's World Cup finals.
This step comes as a culmination of a long journey of attempts to create a true global club championship, starting from early regional competitions like matches between the champions of England and Scotland, passing through the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy in Europe, and culminating in the Intercontinental Cup that brought together champions from Europe and South America for decades.
The tournament features top global clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, River Plate, Boca Juniors, Al Ahly, Flamengo, Palmeiras, Al Hilal, and Urawa Red Diamonds.
The competition is held in a group stage format in the first round, where the top two from each group advance to the round of 16, and the matches continue in a knockout format until the final match.
FIFA has allocated one billion dollars in prizes for the participating teams, with the champion receiving 125 million dollars, while a prize of two million dollars is awarded for each match in the first round, to be shared by the teams in case of a draw.
Participation rewards range from 3.58 million dollars for a representative from Oceania, up to 12 million dollars or more, with European clubs having the potential to receive up to 38 million dollars based on ranking.
